Tunnelblick overview
Tunnelblick is a free, open source graphic user interface for OpenVPN on OS X. It provides easy control of OpenVPN client and/or server connections. It comes as a ready-to-use application with all necessary binaries and drivers (including OpenVPN, easy-rsa, and tun/tap drivers). No additional installation is necessary -- just add your configuration and encryption information.
Support is provided by the Tunnelblick Discussion Group.
What's new in version 9.0.1
- Includes OpenVPN 2.7.7, replacing 2.7.6 (see Changes in OpenVPN 2.7).
- Fixes a Tunnelblick problem with OpenVPN's 'tls-crypt-v2-verify' option.
- Fixes Issue #920, "Valid configuration is rejected on import".
Note: Updating to this release from some versions of Tunnelblick may take 60 to 90 seconds. It may also require an additional authorization from a computer administrator after the update.

It works so so. To much pop-ups disturbing. Get the real open source app from openVPN directly here:

It became much better since I tried it in 2019. I didn't test it in all depths but it works quite good at the first glance.

Tunnelblich has a lot of DNS leak issues. Try Shimo for Mac instead.
